About the Studio

poise: grace, elegance, balance

Poise Design Studio was founded by Savvas Thoma in 2017. Its clientele mostly consists of organisations which promote culture, history and social awareness, as well as other commercial companies.

A defining note of the Studio is its vast experience in the design and installation of infographics and video installations at museums and archaeological sites.

Savvas Thoma

Founder

Savvas Thoma is a Graphic and Advertising Designer with 12 years of experience in the domain of professional design. Ιn 2010, as a third-year student at Frederick University, Nicosia, he won first prize in the national logo design competition for the 50th Anniversary of the Republic of Cyprus.

Via his postgraduate studies in Interdisciplinary Design, Savvas has acquired the skills and knowledge to collaborate and co-design with artists from various specialisations in applied arts such as: interior designers, architects, visual artists, fashion designers, actors and musicians. His experience has enabled him to become a flexible and innovative design developer who can interpret a project with novel ideas whilst maintaining the primary goal of communication.

2015-2017 Ιn-house graphic designer in the Marketing Department of PHC Franchised Restaurants, Cyprus (Pizza Hut, Wagamama, Burger King, Jamie’s Italian, Caffè Nerο Sitio, The Fish Market, Το Κυπριακόν, Remezzo).

2013-2014 Designer at Vignona Digital Printing, Cyprus.

2013 Assistant Book Designer at Schinovatis Graphic Designs, Cyprus.

2012 Designer at Karelia University of Applied Sciences, Joensuu, Finland.
